FeedXL 1.2 has landed

|

We've been working on the latest round of major changes to FeedXL for most of this year and we're really excited about what we've managed to achieve.

FeedXL 1.2 is now live and here's a quick run-down of the changes we've made:

Changes to RDIs

The FeedXL recommendations for nutrient levels have not seen any significant changes for the last 12 months, although there have been minor tweaks along the way. So it was time to perform a complete review of the equations that we use to generate these recommendations based on the ongoing research into horse nutrition undertaken around the world.

The major changes in our new release involve iodone, digestible energy, protein and lysine, while minor changes have been made to vitamins B1 and B2, phosphorous, zinc, manganese, selenium, iron and chloride.

New features

Other changes to FeedXL have been mainly focused around the way we present our list of feeds and feed information. We've tried to make it easier to find information about feeds where you need that information the most. Plus, we're now providing more information about the data that we have for individual feeds. Previously we've listed some feeds with "(incomplete data)" and "(no data)" to indicate that we don't have data for all of the nutrients those feeds contain. This didn't really tell you enough so we're now giving you data completeness indicators on the feeds which you can click to see exactly what nutrients we have data for.

Here's a couple of screenshots showing just some of the new features in FeedXL 1.2:

We hope you enjoy the changes as much as we do!
