[FeedXL Blog] FeedXL Enters Beta

FeedXL Enters Beta

After a long period in our Alpha testing phase, FeedXL has entered Beta! This is a phase of testing that software developers use just prior to release to make sure that any remaining "show stopper" bugs are ironed out.

Horses Grazing

During Alpha testing we have had approximately 70 users who have helped us get FeedXL just about right. We have focused on usability, making sure that even people with little experience on the web can analyse their horse's diets. It's also been a time for perfecting our nutrition analysis engine and we're confident that FeedXL will be able to give helpful advice to horse owners of all levels of expertise.

For Beta testing, we need a lot more users! Over the next month we will be inviting people who have registered their interest in FeedXL on our web site, starting from those who left their details when we launched our web site at the beginning of the year.

Currently, our aim is to spend only about a month in this final testing period before we launch in time for Equitana! While we won't have a booth at Equitana, we will be running a promotion with discount vouchers for FeedXL that you can find at a number of related locations. Look for more info about FeedXL at Equitana here in the weeks to come.

It's still not too late to register your interest in FeedXL and be in the line for more discounts when we release.

Hi Nerida, Sue & Rod, just wanted to say what a pleasure it's been to have been on the Alpha testing phase. I'm not a hugely computer literate person, but I found it very easy to work out the diets & I'm very grateful especially to Nerida for the answers to all my nutrition questions. Having feedback (excuse the pun!) from the other users has also been extremely informative (and entertaining). Thank you for allowing me to be part of the programme, & I will definitely be continuing after the release. Kind regards, Sylvia
